At La Pergola Estate, sustainability is not a fad but a concrete responsibility. For more than a century, we have cultivated our land with respect and passion, but today more than ever we feel the duty to restore value to it, protecting it for future generations.
We are SQNPI – Sistema di Qualità Nazionale Produzione Integrata (National Quality System Integrated Production) certified, a recognition that attests to our daily commitment to the environment. In the vineyard, we adopt careful and measured agronomic practices: reducing the use of chemicals, controlling the health of the plants through satellite monitoring, calibrated fertilization and minimally invasive tillage. Each intervention is designed to protect biodiversity and enhance the unique characteristics of our terroir.
Even in the winery, the approach is sustainability-oriented: we use indigenous yeasts for fermentation, avoid systemic treatments and manage wastewater with dedicated facilities. The entire facility is solar powered for the most part, thanks to our photovoltaic panels, and our packaging is environmentally friendly: our boxes are made of uncolored recycled paper, the bottles mostly lightweight for less impactful transportation, with a certified 32% reduction in emissions.
For us, each bottle must be the fruit not only of careful work, but also of an ethical vision: to produce excellent wines, without compromising the balance of the environment that hosts us. Drinking a wine from Tenuta La Pergola means choosing an authentic, transparent and conscious product.
We choose the environment every day, for good wine today and better wine tomorrow.
